Sun Chunlan appointed head of United Front Work Department

Sun Chunlan has been appointed head of the United Front Work Department of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee, the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee said in a statement Wednesday.

The statement also announced the formal removal of Ling Jihua as head of the United Front Work Department, citing a decision by the CPC Central Committee.
