AirAsia CEO Tony Fernandes is headed to the search and recovery site on Wednesday. He said he believed the team will find the exact position of the plane soon.

"The plan for AirAsia now is to ensure that we work with the Basarnas and all the regulators to ensure that we bring a speedy conclusion for the families. We will continue supporting the families through this so they can have less pain. It will not change anything. It is a horrible, horrible experience but we will try to do this that's our focus right now. I am confident because Basarnas is very confident that they know more or less the position of the aircraft so we should be able to locate it," he said.
