Three local officials arrested for alleged bribery

Three Chinese officials have been arrested and put under investigation for allegedly accepting bribes, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP).

Two of them had positions in north China's Hebei Province, namely Pan Xiaodong, former vice head of the provincial traffic and transportation bureau, and Meng Xiaoling, former vice director of the standing committee of the people's congress in the city of Baoding, the SPP said in a Wednesday statement.

The third is Yan Fulong, former general manager of the State Grid Liaoning Electric Power Supply Co., Ltd. in northeast China's Liaoning Province.

Hebei's provincial people's procuratorate issued the arrest orders and are supervising the investigations for the three separate cases.
