Five killed in central China house explosion

Five people were killed in an explosion on Saturday in a house in Shaoyang City in central China's Hunan Province, local authorities said.

The blast ripped through a three-storey house in Ma'an village at around 11 a.m.. Fireworks were stored inside the house.

The cause of the explosion is under investigation.
