Two people injured after a bank shooting in northeast China's Liaoning province on Wednesday are out of danger, local authorities said.

A bank employee shot two people dead and injured two others at Dashiqiao branch of the People's Bank of China in Yingkou city at around 2 pm Wednesday.

Police captured the gunman, surnamed Liu, at 2:48 pm at the scene. Liu fired four shots and all the victims were his colleagues.

One of the injured, surnamed Zhu, was the president of the bank branch, who suffered injuries in the left lung and left arm. Another injured surnamed Wang had injuries in the right lung and liver. However, both were out of danger now, according to doctors.

Preliminary investigation showed the shooting was over disputes about money. Liu confessed he bought a hunting rifle, manufactured in the 1980s from a shop and had hidden the rifle in his home.

China banned the manufacture and sale of guns in the 1990s in order to control violent crime.
