Pilot dies after NW China air crash

One of two men injured after an autogyro crashed on Thursday during flight training in northwest China's Shaanxi Province has died, local authorities said Friday.

The victim died at the hospital, according to a government spokesman in Hengshan County.

The AutoGyro Calidus, which belonged to the Air Sports Association of Yulin City, collided into high-voltage power lines in the village of Chendaliang of Hengshan at around 11:10 a.m.

The two injured pilots were rushed to the county hospital. No casualties or property loss was caused on the ground.

The association was established in March and has more than 50 members.
