V Group, the parent company of V Bar has launched - wait for it - V House, an upstairs annexe (under a different manager) to the popular bar, catering to a smart, urban crowd. With raw brickwork bathed in a purple haze, the glamorous, loft-style interiors mirror echo downstairs, with space-age silver cushions and everything. The space works well as a party hire, although V Bar's patrons can enjoy it whenever it's not being used.
Sharing the same kitchen and cocktail menus as the bar downstairs is no bad thing. Regular cocktails include the tequila sunrise, cosmopolitan and Long Island ice tea (80RMB). For 100RMB, there's also a 'For You' option which allows you to get any drink you want made off menu (presumably within reason). Reasonably priced pastas and pizzas (ranging from 38-88RMB) are available as well.
Sharper and sexier than its sister downstairs, V House keeps it in the family with a few home improvements.
V House is at 901 Fahuazhen Lu, near Yanan Xi Lu.
