China's anti-corruption officials have said that 11 people have been investigated in the National Development and Reform Commission this year alone.

Six of them are suspected of taking in over tens of millions of yuan. Authorities even found 200 million yuan worth of cash, or over 32 million US dollars, in a deputy bureau chief's house.

This is the most cash officials have found in single corruption case since the founding of China in 1949. Officials explained that too much power and lack of supervision are the main reasons for the corruption cases.
