All nine people buried by a landslide in southwest China's Yunnan province have been confirmed dead as bodies of the last seven were retrieved, local authorities said Monday.

Nine people were buried as the disaster hit Xiaoxin village in Dongchuan district of the provincial capital Kunming city last Tuesday, the district's publicity department said.

Two bodies were recovered by Thursday and the rest were found by Sunday night, it said in a statement.

The landslide was triggered by days of raining.
