An exhibition of Finnish Christmas theme park opened in Nanjing, China, on Saturday, said Santa Claus Promotions Finland in a press release.

The exhibition held in Nanjing Culture and Art Center is organized by Santa Claus Promotions Finland in cooperation with Jiangsu Wenchuang Culture Development Company.

The world's only officially recognized Santa Claus has arrived in Nanjing and will stay there for the whole exhibition period from the beginning of November to the middle of January 2015, according to the press release.

Santa will accompany local people to spend an authentic Christmas and guide visitors to experience the mysterious Finnish Christmas traditions.

The Northern Lights, beautiful Finnish nature and Finnish top-class know-how, as well as city of Rovaniemi, are highlighted at the exhibition, said Ilkka Kongas, managing director of Santa Claus Promotions Finland, in the press release.

At the exhibition, Chinese visitors can also buy Finnish delicacies as well as Lappish handicrafts and natural products.

According to Santa Claus Promotions Finland, the event has received an unprecedented attention in China. Over 30,000 presale tickets have already been sold before the opening, and the event is expected to receive at least 120,000 visitors during the two and a half months.

The exhibition project has been supported by the cities of Rovaniemi and Nanjing as well as the Finnish Tourist Board. Among the cooperating partners are also the Santa Claus Foundation and Santa Claus Licensing Ltd.
