The World Internet Conference takes place in Wuzhen, Zhejiang province next month, officials of China's top cyberspace watchdog announced on Thursday.

The event, which has attracted attention among Internet specialists across the world, will run from Nov 19 to 21, Lu Wei, director of the Cyberspace Administration of China, said.

Many Internet giants, including Pony Ma, head of Tencent, one of China's largest technology companies whose WeChat is the most popular instant messaging tool in the nation, is expected to attend.

Worldwide Internet professionals and officials will discuss how to establish a harmonious cyberspace, in a bid to improve Web developments.
