Classes have resumed in all schools in the quake-hit region of southwest China's Yunnan Province, local authorities said Sunday.
After the earthquake on Oct. 7, which killed one person and injured more than 300, classes in 100 schools in Jinggu County were suspended and more than 43,000 students were affected, according to the county's education bureau.
A middle school and a primary school were the last to resume classes after their prefab classrooms were completed, said Chen Deliang, head of the bureau. The two schools held brief ceremonies on Sunday to thank the construction workers and police officers who salvaged teaching facilities from the dilapidated classrooms.
