French rider Julien Antomarchi triumphs in Tour of Hainan 4th stage

Frenchman Julien Antomarchi from Team La Pomme Marseille claimed the fourth stage victory at 2014 Tour of Hainan, taking the overall leader's yellow jersey from Wang Meiyin of Hengxiang Cycling Team.

Antomarchi timed three hours, 15 minutes and 59 seconds to win the stage and became the overall leader.

Wang still kept his blue jersey that represents best Asian rider, when Italian Andrea Palini of Lampre-Merida Team kept the green jersey for the best printer.

Antomarchi said, "Thanks the rain for my victory. Even it would be very difficult to keep the yellow jersey, I am still very happy to put it on today."

The fourth stages, featuring three sprints, started at Wenchang, a northeast city in Hainan and finished at the city of Wanning, covering a total distance of 145.8 kilometers.

This year's Tour of Hainan will last nine days, and the next stage on Friday will cover 192.8 kilometers from Wanning to Sanya.
