On Wednesday morning, a cultural exchange agreement was signed by representatives for China's Old Summer Palace and France's Chateau de Chambord.

The two sides will conduct a series of cooperative exchanges to better preserve and promote cultural heritages.

Both private resorts in the 18th century, the Old Summer Palace and France's Chateau de Chambord are both listed as world cultural heritages.

Chateau de Chambord is the largest in the Loire Valley, and one of the most distinctive works of French Renaissance architecture.

The alliance, which aims to boost cultural exchanges, will include a series of collaborating programs, including joint exhibitions, exchanges and training among the personnel.

As part of the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Sino-French diplomatic ties, the Chateau of Chambord is hosting an exhibition about the Old Summer Palace.

The two parties also plan to collaborate to boost the architecture's digital presence.
