5.1-magnitude quake jolts northwest China

A 5.1-magnitude earthquake struck Ulan County in northwest China's Qinghai province at 11:56 pm Thursday, the China Earthquake Networks Center said.

The epicenter was monitored at 36.4 degrees north latitude and 97.8 degrees east longitude, with a depth of 16 km, the center said.

No casualties have been reported.
