Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf sent a message of congratulations to the government and people of the People's Republic of China as China marks its 65th National Day on Wednesday.
In the message to the Chinese President Xi Jinping, President Johnson Sirleaf on behalf of Liberia, extended warmest felicitations and best wishes to the Chinese leader, and through him, to the government and people of China.
The Liberian leader expressed the hope that the great people of China will continue to prosper under the prudent policies of the Chinese government that have contributed to China's phenomenal economic growth and prosperity, acknowledging China's continued support to Liberia, especially in the fight against the deadly Ebola virus disease.
"As we join you and your compatriots in observing this joyous occasion, I look forward to continuing the cordial ties of friendship and cooperation existing between our two countries and peoples," she said.
The Liberian leader prayed that the government and people of China will continue to enjoy the blessings of peace, national cohesion and increasing prosperity under President Xi Jinping's leadership.
