Chinese swimmers Shen Duo and Tang Yi were not satisfied with their performance Monday night although they took gold and silver medals respectively in women's 100m freestyle event at the Asian Games.

"I failed to have a smooth start, probably because I hadn't had much time to recover from the Youth Olympic Games last month," said Shen, who clocked 54.37 seconds to win the gold.

She said she was tired after the Youth Olympic Games held last month in Nanjing, where she entered six events.

"It was a great challenge for me. I have not fully recovered," Shen said.

Her teammate Tang, who had silver in 54.45 seconds, was not satisfied, either.

"I just don't feel right in the pool. I can't tell where the problem is. I need to discuss it with my coach," said Tang, a London Olympic Games bronze medallist.

Commenting on younger swimmers like Shen Duo and Chen Xinyi, Tang said they are very competitive. "I hope they can stimulate me to regain my best performance."

Liu Ying, who won the women's 50m butterfly gold, said the result of 25.83 seconds, a new Asian Games record, was somewhat disappointing.

"It was not as good as I had expected. It was slower than my result in the first half of this year," Lu said. "But I'm happy that I grabbed a gold at Asian Games and have the chance to meet some old friends. All the three medallists are friends."

Her compatriot Liu Lan won a bronze medal while the silver went to Tao Li of Singapore.
