Escape artist beats the clock

Dean Gunnarson, a 50-year-old escape artist from Canada, was handcuffed and locked in an iron cage suspended 100 meters above a lake in Zhangjiajie, Hunan province. It took Gunnarson three minutes and 21 seconds to escape, well inside the four minutes before a time bomb would detonate on the chain holding the cage and plunging him into the water. The stunt was part of a magic show held on Friday. Gunnarson has appeared on television in more than 165 countries worldwide and has performed more than 500 shows across China.
