North China house collapse kills 3, injures 12

Three people were killed and another 12 were injured after a house under construction collapsed in north China's Shanxi province on Sunday evening, local authorities said Monday.

The accident happened at about 6:30 pm at Wucheng Village, Taiyuan City where workers were building a house for villager Wang Yusheng.

Two were seriously wounded and ten sustained minor injuries.

Rescue is still under way at the scene.

The cause of the accident is being investigated.
