A jade rock weighing about 600 tons has been found in northeast China's Liaoning Province

The local government said on Friday that miners discovered the massive deposit of the prized material while digging in a cave in Kuandian Man Autonomous County last year.

Given the difficulty of digging out the rock in one piece, there is no plan yet to excavate it from the cave, said Wang Xingdong, general manager of the local mining company that made the find.

The rock is priceless, Wang said.
