China maintains its 97th position in latest FIFA rankings

China maintained its 97th position on the September edition of the overall FIFA world rankings just as the previous month, according to the FIFA website.

China however climbed from thirteen to twelve on the continental table, overtaking Palestine.

Chinese men football team played two warm-up games in September, earning nearly 7 points more to take their accumulation to 341.1 points, which gave some help to the new continental rankings.

China beat Kuwait by 3-1 on September 5 in Shenyang, the lucky place for Chinese men football team. Five days later, China and Jordan ended in a draw by 1-1 in Harbin.

Iran became the new top side in Asia followed by Japan, Uzbekistan and South Korea.

Germany is still top one with Argentina second and Colombia overtake the Netherlands to place third.
