At least four people were killed and many more injured in a restaurant gas explosion Friday in southeast China's Xiamen city, local authorities said.

The blast happened at 11:24 am on Jiahe Road. A total of 30 casualties have been reported including 4 deaths and 10 in critical condition.

The injured have been rushed to hospital.
