After three years renovation, the south section of the National Library of China in Haidian district will resume service on September 9, reported the Beijing Evening News.

The total area of the library has been expanded to 280,000 square meters, which will make it the third largest library in the world, capable of holding close to 1,000 people.

The south section of the library will provide readers with both foreign and Chinese literature, and will also showcase valuable historical items.
