Unqualified food taken from shelves

A total of 19 types of unqualified food and water products were removed from shelves on September 4, reported the Beijing Youth Daily.

According to an inspection conducted by the Beijing Food and Drug Administration, the contaminated water types included Wahaha water produced by Wahaha company, and C'estbon water produced by Beijing Shengshui Food Company. The water was found to contain excessive amounts of bacteria.

Foods including peanuts produced by Beijing Jinliangping Food Company were found to be unqualified.
