Southwest China's Yunnan Province has received donations totalling 1.23 billion yuan (200 million US dollars) in cash and materials, a month after a 6.5-magnitude quake.

As of Thursday, the donations included 934 million yuan in cash and relief materials worth 305 million yuan, said the Yunnan Provincial Civil Affairs Department.

The donations were received through the provincial government, the governments of Zhaotong, Qujing and some other cities, charity organizations and the provincial federation of industry and commerce.

The quake zone has allocated relief funds totalling more than 300 million yuan to affected residents.

The quake on Aug. 3, the strongest to hit Yunnan in 14 years, killed more than 600 people and destroyed 80,000 homes in Ludian and surrounding areas.
