Olympics bidding committee's sponsors named

Eight enterprises were officially recognized on Aug 26 as the sponsors for the bidding committee of the 2022 Winter Olympics.

Based on four major aspects involved with economic strength, service, brands and promotion, the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games Bid Committee has chosen eight enterprises to present the financing and other necessary services, said Yang Xiaochao, deputy mayor of Beijing.

He said sponsorship is an opportunity to facilitate the bidding of Beijing and the nearby city of Zhangjiakou, Hebei province, and also a good platform to promote healthy development of the enterprises.

The eight enterprises — including Beijing Bank, Beijing Automotive Group, and Tencent Group — will provide services in banking, vehicles, website maintenance, catering, office supplies and sportswear.
