InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) opened the first phase of a five-star hotel with 472 guest rooms in Lhasa, capital of southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region on Monday.

The rooms are designed with Tibetan style, and equipped with digital entertainment system, spacious bathroom and Internet access. In-room Central oxygen and access to humidifiers are supplied for guests to have comfortable in the high altitude environment.

Hotel has 4 multi-purpose meeting spaces, including the 1,220sqm Tibet King Ballroom, accommodating some 550 guests in banquet seating. 3 additional meeting rooms are 80sqm each in size and accommodate up to 60 persons for various types of gatherings.
