Seven people, including two children, were found dead on Friday in a car submerged in a railroad culvert in Guangzhou, capital of south China's Guangdong province, police said.
Police received phone calls around 9 am and rushed for rescue, only to find the seven dead, said a police officer with the public security bureau of the Guangzhou city. Forensic tests showed they all died from drowning.
Police are investigating the case.
