A man has been arrested on suspicion of killing a family of six over a money dispute in Qujing City, Yunnan Province, yunnan.cn reported on Thursday.

Tao Fulin, his wife, two children and his parents were found lying in blood on Sunday in their home, according to the report. Tao's uncle found them after visiting the home that afternoon.

He reported to police, who soon targeted a man surnamed Liu as the suspect. A preliminary police investigation found that Liu once had a dispute with Tao over money, the report said. It did not say how much money was involved.

Police officers arrested Liu on Monday. Police were cited as saying that Liu had confessed to killing all six with a knife and a hammer, which hasn't been found.

The investigation continues, according to police.
