A children's play called "Kong Rong Bu Rang Li" presented by a troupe from Taiwan will be performed at China Children's Art Theater (CCAT) in Beijing this coming weekend.

The play is produced by Six Arts Theatre Group from Taiwan. It tells a household story of Kong Rong, who is a politician, scholar and minor warlord living in the late Eastern Han Dynasty. He was also a 20th generation descendant of Confucius.

In the play, Kong is not the only child in the family and they all love eating pears. One day someone gives them a basket of pears but not everyone could get one. How would Kong make sure that each person could enjoy a pear? The play is based on the old story but it makes new adaptations with children's thoughts and takes family life as the main materials.

The play was first presented in Taipei and received positive feedback in terms of comments and box office.

Another children's play called "Freeze" produced by If Kids Theater Company will also be staged at CCAT this weekend.
