Beijing subway Line 14 set to open

The east section of Beijing subway Line 14 will begin operation on December 28, The Beijing News reported on Thursday.

Ten of the total 12 stations are in use at present, among which Jinshunlu is expected to connect to the airport line but not yet confirmed. The main structure of all stations on the eastern line is complete with 75 percent of fixtures and fittings done.

The east section will link with the rest of Line 14 on August 20 with the entire line expected to undergo a pilot run in late September.
