Subway art displays

Authorities have released new design proposals for public art programs at 28 subway stations, the Beijing Youth Daily reported.

The Beijing Municipal Commission of Urban Planning have designated stations along Line 6, Line 7, and Line 14, with each line to have their own distinct features which will include murals and sculptures. The theme of Line 7 is Memory of the City; Line 14 set to have multiple wall paintings that feature both modern and traditional cultural elements; and paintings in Line 6 are set to show the historical canal culture of Tongzhou district.

Citizens can log on to the commission's website to view the proposals and give opinions on what displays should be used.
