ETIM terrorists killed in Pakistan airstrikes

China's Foreign Ministry says some of the militants killed by Pakistani airstrikes in northwest Waziristan on Monday were terrorists belonging to the East Turkistan Islamic Movement.

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said on Tuesday that the UN Security Council has identified ETIM as a terrorist group, which poses threat to the international community. She said cracking down on the ETIM is an important part of global anti-terrorism efforts.

The spokesperson said China firmly supports Pakistan's action and is willing to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
