A wall at a Yunnan province high school was splashed by human feces on Tuesday morning, and it wasn't a student prank.

Employees at Biji High School, a closed-campus boarding school in Kunming, purposefully slathered a wall with fecal matter to prevent nearby street vendors from selling snacks to students.

Witnesses said workers poured the poop on the 100-meter long wall surrounding the school grounds.

Vendors complained to the school that the putrid smell has disrupted their business.

Staff responded by saying that vendors should not conduct business near school property, adding that they can start selling once the feces dries after a few days.

A school policy that prevents students from leaving the grounds on weekdays and ordering take-out has spurred a market for off-campus food.

Apparently the scat slinging worked, as students have stopped buying the street snacks for the time being.

But the lingering fecal cloud has parents and locals turning up their noses at the school.

"Even if their intentions were good, this is inappropriate and problematic," said the father of a student surnamed Lu. Another parent said her daughter does not like the food provided by the school, and questioned whether turd-tossing teachers are the right role models for her daughter.
