Beijing restaurants have prepared special World Cup dishes in celebration of the 2014 FIFA World Cup, which begins on Friday and runs until July 13, the Beijing Morning Post reported.

Restaurants including Pizza Hut and Quanjude, Beijing's largest roast duck restaurant chain, are among those getting into the World Cup spirit. Quanjude, for example, offers a dish featuring three traditional Beijing snacks - wandouhuang, shanzhalao and hongdoulao - arranged to resemble the German flag. As well as offering special menus, most dining establishments will open late for customers who want to watch the World Cup.
