(ECNS) -- A 23-year-old man from Shaanxi province has spent one year making a 1∶100 replica of the Bell Tower of Xi'an with 750 chopsticks, according to the Sunshine Daily on Tuesday.

At 40 cm tall and 34 cm long, the model features all the details of the actual structure.

Its maker Xu Chong was born in Xi'an, but grew up in Xiamen, Fujian province.

To express his love for his hometown, Xu decided to make a model of a landmark building of Xi'an, and finally settled on the Bell Tower.

Pictures of the model have made a splash since they were posted online. Some netizens guessed the builder of the replica must be a professional in architecture or civil engineering.

However, Xu said that his major is English, and that sculpting is just his hobby. At present, the young man is trying to make an iron tower.
