Divorced man killed teen over ring

The man who killed his ex-wife's 14-year-old nephew Wednesday confessed that he committed the murder because his ex-wife didn't give his ring back, local media reported Thursday.`

The 58-year-old suspect told police that he decided to take revenge on his ex-wife because she refused to give back a ring she was keeping on his behalf, according to a report in the Oriental Morning Post.

The suspect, who was not named, stabbed the teenager to death with a switchblade and wounded the boy's father as they rode to school Wednesday, the report said. The teenager died at the scene.

The case was still under investigation Thursday.
