A 6.1-magnitude earthquake hit a county in southwest China's Yunnan province at 9:20 am Beijing Time Friday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.
The epicenter was in Yingjiang County, the Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Dehong. It was measured at 25 degrees north latitude and 97.8 degrees east longitude, at a depth of 12 km, according to the center.
