Security training accident at kindergarten injures five

Five people, including a child, were injured after the gun of a police officer went off during a security training session in a kindergarten in central China's Henan province on Thursday.

Haiwen Experimental Kindergarten invited police from Zhengdong New District in Zhengzhou City for security education, according to police.

A gun went off accidentally during the demonstration. The bullet hit the ground and the scattered debris caused bruises to the arms and legs of four parents and a child.

All injured have been sent to hospitals to receive treatment.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
