An unidentified number of Chinese movies have been stopped broadcasting in Vietnam in the past few days, according to official website of a television channel Monday.

Vietnam's state-run Vietnam Multimedia Corporation (VTC) said recently on its website that "for some objective reasons, from May 15, 2014 on, a movie will be paused from broadcasting and be replaced by a South Korean film."

Local audience raised strong feedback over the cancellation of Chinese film on Vietnamese television. A netizen named Phi Hoang commented on VTC7's official fanpage as saying that "Vietnamese audience should boycott the channel, it is too confusing to make that decision."

Echoing Hoang, Duyen Lao wrote on the page that "I am so upset. The film is getting more and more interesting. The channel is offending its audience."

There are at least three Chinese movies confirmed to stop being shown on Vietnamese television so far.
