Exhibit showcases inventions by Taiwan university students

It might be hard to find any ancient relics at our next exhibit. Young designers are gathering in Taipei to showcase their inventions, which they hope will become the next big thing. Everything from fitness equipment, to pet friendly gadgets, the 4-day event looks to bring out the best in technology while still keeping it practical.

This motor doesn't mind a splash of water.

It's a 3-wheeled electric bike, whose battery can work even in water. Handy for Taiwan's rainy season.

Peng Yu-hsiang, who studies industrial design at Shih Chien University is exhibiting his all-weather electric bike which will undoubtley come in handy during Taiwan's flood season.

If you're hungry while on the move, perhaps this portable table will inspire some fine dining.

Ideal for couples who are constantly on the go, this table-like apron helps you set up a meal in quick order, with a place for your plates, cutlery, and even cups.

The mind behind this invention is from Tunghai University.

The young designers are also showing they're very health conscious, from innovative fitness balls to this futuristic dumbbell which will surely tone up some arms.

Owners can use the camera lens on their smart phone to remotely control feeding time and send images to the built in monitor on the feeder.

The 4-day annual Young Designers Exhibition showcases a wide range of products that try to combine innovation with practicality.
