A fugitive who came out of hiding to catch a Jay Chou concert has no regrets about being captured afterwards.

Police recognized the 23-year-old man surnamed Hong at Hefei Railway Station in Anhui province on Sunday despite going to great lengths to disguise himself just so he could attend the concert the previous evening.

Hong, a die-hard fan of the Taiwanese singer, went to a local beauty salon hours before in order to hide a distinguishing mole on his face.

The music fan had been on the lam for six months on assault charges after he injured his neighbor in an argument over a stove in last December.

Though he was detained and confessed to the charges, Hong told police it was worth it just to see the pop idol in concert.

He even asked if he could keep the ticket stub as a souvenir. An investigation into the case is still underway.
