A feud between two neighbors in Yixing, Jiangsu province broke out after one installed blinding flood lights in retaliation for several fengshui mirrors in the opposite building.
The resident surnamed Ye of building No.50 in the Zhongxing Hubin community reportedly installed the array of lights May 9. The high-beams are directed at his neighbor directly opposite, whose mirrors he says are unlucky.
"I tried to negotiate many times but they refused to remove them. I also tried to involve the property management and community, but all failed to work," said Ye.
Surnamed Chen, the other neighbor has agreed to remove the mirrors and signs in hopes Ye will take down the lamps.
According to a neighbor surnamed Lin, Chen's family hired a fengshui master in an effort to help change their luck.
The family was instructed to hang several mirrors and symbols outside their windows about two weeks ago, which they believe have the power to detect and drive away demons.
