Colliery gas leak kills 4 in Shanxi  

山西阳煤集团发生煤与瓦斯突出事故 造成4人死亡

A coal mine gas leak left four people dead in north China's Shanxi province Tuesday, local authorities said.

The accident took place at about 2:00 pm at the mine shaft in the city of Yangquan, according to the Yangquan Coal Industry (Group) Co. Ltd., which owns the mine.

An investigation into the cause of the accident has been underway.
