Five killed in Guangxi staircase collapse  

广西六塘镇发生一起安全生产事故 造成5人死亡

13日8时15分，广西临桂县建筑公司承建的临桂县六塘镇政府公租房项目正在浇筑的顶层楼梯面坍塌，事故造成正在施工的7名工人中3人被掩埋，4人摔伤，其中1人当场死亡，其余6人被紧急送往附近医院抢救；经医院全力抢救，其中4人抢救无效死亡，其余2人目前生命体征平稳。 [查看全文]

Five construction workers have died after a staircase in a building they were working on collapsed on Tuesday morning in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The accident happened in an under-construction building in Lingui County at 8:15 am when seven workers were on-site. One worker was killed on the spot while four others died in hospital.

The two other workers were injured but are now in a stable condition and receiving treatment.

The cause of the accident is under investigation.
