Postage stamps containing landscapes of Madagascar and China were issued Monday at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China to Madagascar.

Three Malagasy landscapes and three Chinese ones were printed on the stamps, according to the Chinese Embassy.

"The stamps issued today are living witnesses of the friendship between China and Madagascar," the Chinese Ambassador to Madagascar Yang Min said during the ceremony to issue the stamps.

The ambassador added that he hope the stamps will be affixed on the envelopes of the people's letters and among their collections.

According to Madagascar's minister of Posts, Telecommunications and New Technologies, Andre Neypatraike, these postage stamps were designed and created by technicians of both countries.

Touristic and historical realities of the two countries are described through these postage stamps, the minister said, adding that the issue of these postage stamps is one of the products of the good cooperation between China and Madagascar.
