Six people have been injured in a knife attack at a railway station in southern China's Guangzhou city, Guangzhou Daily reported Tuesday.

The attack happened at about 11:30 am.

The police shot one of the attackers while another is on the run.

The injured have been sent to hospital.

It did not identify the attackers and it was not clear if the number of injured included the assailants.
