The first 25,000 copies of a booklet about 17 new anti-graft regulations introduced after the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China have been ordered recently.

The 101-page booklet, published by the People's Publishing House, put the 17 regulations introduced between December 2012 and March this year into five categories including strengthened supervision on officials, stricter control on receptions and bans on misuse of public funds.

The booklet is the first of its kind on the market and was compiled by the publisher itself, Hong Qiong, a senior editor, told the Beijing Youth Daily.

Internal disciplinary brochures are common but open publication of such documents is very rare, said Zhuang Deshui, a professor with Peking University.

Civil servants should learn about the regulations in detail to avoid breaking the rules, said Hong.
