A woman miraculously suffered only minor injuries after she fell into an exhaust vent in a 33-story building and stopped herself a third of the way down in Chuzhou, Anhui province on April 27.

Dingyuan county police broke through a wall on the 21st floor of a residential building to reach Xiaowen (pseudonym) after zeroing in on her cries for help.

She was later treated for multiple scratches at a local hospital.

Xiaowen told rescuers that she went to the top of the building to enjoy the evening view with her boyfriend.

As she walked around on the unlit roof, she slipped and fell into the duct.

Xiaowen explained that the vent was narrow and the surfaces uneven.

Struggling to keep herself from falling the entire length of the building, Xiaowen explained she finally managed to break her fall by stretching out her limbs in the narrow chute.
