A fire that raged in a shanty town in northeast China's Heilongjiang province has killed four people, local authorities said on Sunday.
The fire broke out in a bungalow in Qianjin district, Jiamusi city at around 11:07 pm on Saturday, and spread to an area of about 300 square meters in the shanty town where the house was located, according to the local fire brigade.
Two out of the five houses in the area collapsed in the fire, and rescuers had pulled out four bodies from the ruins.
The fire has been extinguished early on Sunday, and an investigation is under way.
